La Cañada Golf Club

Nestled comfortably between the Med and the mountains, the La Cañada Golf Club is handy for anyone staying or residing in the residential area of Sotogrande. The 18-hole course was opened back in 1982 – its first nine holes were designed by Dave Thomas and the remaining by Robert Trent Jones.

Its challenging fairways offer unrivalled views of the sea, providing the ideal place for sun worshippers to soak up some rays whilst enjoying a round. The club boasts an excellent 250m long driving range, two putting greens and an approach zone. Once you’ve completed your game, why not head to the Club Restaurant, with its panoramic views over the River Guadiaro and traditional Andalucian cuisine?

HANDY HINTS:

The first hole, a par-4, can be challenging for players who can’t hit very far. There is a water hazard 170 metres from the green and out of bounds to the left. Many golfers prefer the second set of holes. The 18th hole offers the most stunning views as well as an interesting drive.

72-tee driving range, Pro-shop, café, restaurant, spacious changing rooms, parking

Requirements:

Handicap Limit: Men 28, ladies 36. Soft spikes only.
