Sherry Golf Jerez
The city of Jerez de la Frontera, situated close to the unspoiled Costa de la Luz, is the home of Spain’s oldest and finest sherry bodegas and was the inspiration for the name of this curious golf course when it opened back in 2004. Whether you’re at amateur or professional level, a trip through the mountains to this picturesque sporting facility is a must.
Sherry Golf overlooks a number of the region’s sherry vineyards and boasts an 18-hole par-72 course, designed by Stirling and Martin of the Global Golf Company.
This expansive, American-style parkland course features wide fairways, large greens, well-positioned lakes, practice tees and pitch and putt areas. Greens are quick and the bunker on the 18th hole is shaped like a horse’s head to pay homage to the region’s tradition of show horses.
